Guild Wars 2 surpasses 3 million sales, ArenaNet looks to the new year
(1)
Guild Wars 2 made it through the last few months rather nicely, and ArenaNet announced today their 2012 MMO has sold over three million units. Now that's pretty dang impressive, considering the game's only been out since August. Just a couple weeks after it came out, ArenaNet's MMO raked in over two million sales.
Not that the studio has any plans to slow down. In a lengthy post on the official site, Guild Wars 2 director Colin Johanson laid out a clear map of their plans for 2013.
Whether you're into PVP or PVE, ArenaNet's got something lined up for you. Overall, the idea here seems to be upping the incentives for players to get out and about, explore different parts of the world and play with their guilds. ArenaNet will be adding a new currency system, for instance, that allows players alternative means of unlocking certain items. Dailies and achievements will also be getting some attention in the coming months. buy or sell GW2 items
